Hi! I’m so excited to share with you all the amazing highlights from my trip to Cali. This was my third time visiting and the saying is true, “Third times a charm!” Aside from doing some fashion research, I got the opportunity to rekindle my romance with creativity. I also gained confirmation for other aspects of my life. Join me as I recap the top 4 experiences that led me to my epiphany which I will share later. Enjoy!

#1 The Broad Museum founded by Eli and Edythe Broad is the newest hot spot for contemporary art in downtown Los Angeles. The museum officially opened on September 20 2015, making it a newbie to the city. Due to the free admission and popularity, there was a line wrapped around the building two hours before it opened. It was absolutely worth the wait! My favorite was all of the mural style art that made the walls come to life.

#2 The Los Angeles County Museum of Art is the largest art museum in the western United States.  The museum has space for over 100,000 pieces of art that range from the historical past to the modernistic future. My favorites were the cultural exhibits and the La Brea tar pits which have conserved fossils from animals that are extinct, so cool!

The fashion district in downtown Hollywood is a major resource for local creatives. Here, goods can be purchased wholesale and resold to the masses! For all my discount shoppers this is definently the place to find the latest trends at a lower price. Not all of the shops are worth stopping in, but you will  find some gems. Just make sure to brush up on your bargaining skills!

#4 Griffith Park was a beautiful site to see! The mountainous terrain seperates the city so perfectly and is known for its adventitious hike to the HOLLYWOOD sign. My sneakers hit the dirt trail with so much confidence. Halfway through the hike up, I was ready to quit! Thanks to some encouraging friends and my anticipation to see the HOLLYWOOD sign, I kept going. Once I reached the top, I sat there in amazement at God’s creations. I’m so glad I pushed through!

This trip is just what a sista needed at this time in my life. I mentioned an epiphany earlier, so here it goes! I realized that life is beyond our scope. We must keep challenging ourselves to truly reach our destiny. Nothing happens in the box called STABILITY.
